We at Endangered Crafts are dedicated to the proliferation of endangered crafts. 
We contribute to the revival of traditional crafts by introducing you to :

the  products    -     the vintage tools     -    the skills 

The Workshops/Courses
The ideal gift for the man / woman who has everything!
Come and spend a half, or full day as a blacksmith working at the forge. Take home your very own fire poker set, dinner gong , wall bracket and striker; or make your first knife. If you prefer bodging make a rustic stool, hay rake, or occasional table wiith traditional "pre-electric" tools. 

Work Teams
We can offer your group either a fun learning experience, out of the work place enjoying a taste of our old crafts and taking their creations home. - Or We can set up some crafty challenges where your teams race against each other to produce a bespoke piece of furniture. - or make and race a coracle.

The Products
Check out our growing range of hand forged steel items and hand shaved greenwood furniture which will look great in your home.
We can also recommend a reading list of books associated with each craft.

The Vintage tools
We can make available to you the vintage tools, or plans for them, so you can make your own. In this way you can soon be enjoying the traditional crafts in your own workshop


Traditional Crafts we are currently involved with include:

 Blacksmithing               -   Become familiar with; hammer,  forge,  & anvil. 
Knife making                 -  Make your first knife
Green Wood working     -   Shave and bodge together a rustic stool
Coracle Construction       - Make and race a basket boat  (Team event).
   

Location

Our Venue is located on the southern shores of Lake Waitawa just an hours drive north of Wellington on the beautiful Kapiti Coast.

Our clients enjoy the beauty of the wetlands, water fowl, and historic Woolshed.
Our craft activities may be pursued for fun and fellowship, to achieve a specific skill, take home a product, enjoy a birthday, family celebration or as a team day out from the corporate world.

Sumptuous barbecues with mouth watering desserts are available on request.
